Melt in Your Mouth Tuna Steaks


  • 2 pounds fresh tuna steaks

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup sherry

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin coconut oil

  • 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup minced fresh ginger root

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  1. Place tuna steaks in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, sherry, extra virgin coconut oil, green onions, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove tuna steaks from steamer, and place in a serving dish. Pour sauce over tuna steaks, and serve immediately.


This recipe does not contain many non-starchy vegetables. To maximize your results, it is highly recommended that you eat at least three servings of non-starchy vegetables via a SANE side dish or green smoothie along with this main dish.
