Avocado Salmon


  • 2-3/4 avocados – peeled, pitted and diced

  • 2-3/4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced

  • 1/4 cup Greek-style yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 2-3/4 pounds salmon steaks

  • 2-3/4 teaspoons dried dill weed

  • 2-3/4 teaspoons lemon pepper

  • salt to taste

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash together avocados, garlic, yogurt, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Rub salmon with dill, lemon pepper, and salt. Place on the prepared grill, and cook 15 minutes, turning once, until easily flaked with a fork. Serve with the avocado mixture.


This recipe does not contain many non-starchy vegetables. To maximize your results, it is highly recommended that you eat at least three servings of non-starchy vegetables via a SANE side dish or green smoothie along with this main dish.
